Méribel lies in the Les Allues Valley at the centre of the world’s largest ski area. As well as the two main resorts, Méribel and Méribel-Mottaret, the valley also includes a number of traditional villages. Together they form one of the most popular destinations for British skiers. The resort’s popularity is not only due to its extensive skiing, but also to the attractive chalet-style architecture. Unlike many purpose-built ski resorts, Méribel has retained its alpine charm and consists entirely of chalet-style wood and stone buildings.
The resorts of Meribel, Mottaret, Meribel Village and Les Allues are linked to the largest linked ski area in the world: les Trois Vallees, with 600 kilometres of prepared and maintained pistes. The magnificent scenery stretches from the Mont Blanc massif in the north to the Les Ecrins massif in the south. After a few hours on your skis and you'll reach the summit of the the Trois Vallées massif, the Pointe de Thorens (3266 m) at Val Thorens.

Meribel's nightlife is legendary amongst skiers and there's no bar more famous in the resort than Dick's T-Bar. However, you'll find a wide range of restaurants, bars and cafes to keep you well fed and watered. There's also a plentiful array of opportunities for hours of entertainment in the evening including The Tavern, Barometer and Scott's Bar centred around the middle of town. The different villages within the valley each have there own ambience and you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice!
